Katie Ann Cameron From: Hudvudvark@aol.com Date: Sat, 24 Apr 1999 12:23:35 EDT Subject: Re: Cousins To: makowj@rpi.edu X-Mailer: AOL 4.0 for Windows 95 sub 10 Reply-To: Hudvudvark@aol.com Joe: Nice to meet you! And your wife too. This is what I have so far. My problem has been that my grandfather was "farmed-out" at an early age and he didn't remember his parents, so the trail has been even harder. Catherine Sarah Cameron married Martin MacPherson 1868 Fraser's Mill 1868 Georgeville Alexander MacPherson married Margaret MacPherson 1900 Boston 1899 Whycocomagh Alexander Joseph MacPherson married Lois Mae Johnson 1931 Bronx, NY 1935, Clearlake, WA Dana Marie Margaret Catherine MacPherson (me) 1957 Anacortes, Washington Catherine's husband Martin died shortly after my grandfather was born in Boston. There were three other children. Alexander (my g.father) was raised by Janet MacPherson MacDonald in St. Andrew's, Antigonish. The only connection I have made is that Janet's brother John A. MacPherson was married to Sarah Catherine's sister. I do not know her name as she was listed in 1947 on Catherine's obit as "Mrs" John A. MacPherson. I am planning a trip to NS this August with my mother. My grandmother Margaret MacDonald was from Whycocomagh. We still have cousins there. I plan to do further research, but was hoping to find out some stumbling blocks first. Thanks again for all your info. Do you live in NS? Cousin, Dana.1 She was born on 25 March 1868 at Fraser's Mills, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.2,3 She was the daughter of Angus Cameron and Sarah McPherson. Her married name was MacPherson.4 Katie Ann Cameron married Martin MacPherson.4 Katie Ann Cameron was widowed by the death of Martin MacPherson on 12 March 1901 at South River, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada; DOF indicates that Katie Ann is widowed.4,3 Katie Ann Cameron died in December 1946 at Brookline, Norfolk, Massachusetts, at age 78.1,3 |
