Halifax Herald December 28, 2002

DOIRON, John Louis - 63, Pomquet, Antigonish Co., died Thursday, December 26, 2002, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, in the company of family. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late John Raphael and Emma Josephine (Melong) Doiron, and stepson of the late John C. Cameron. In earlier years, he was a member of the Halifax City Police. Various other occupations included construction, bookkeeping and cutting pulp. In his later years, he enjoyed reading and gardening. Surviving are his wife, Diane (Dort); sons, Craig (Krista), New Glasgow; Gus (Cindy), Chris (Lisa), both of Port Hawkesbury; Bradley (Toby), Shelburne; Cory, Port Hawkesbury; sisters, Genevieve (Bob) Cater, Halifax; Madeleine Morrell, Pomquet; six grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Sunday, December 29, and 2-4 p.m. Monday, December 30, in Ste. Croix Church, Pomquet. Funeral service will be held 6:30 p.m. Monday in Ste. Croix Church, Rev. P.J. Baccardax officiating. He will be sadly missed and always remembered. Cremation to follow. Arrangements entrusted to MacIsaac Funeral Home Ltd., Antigonish
