Catherine R. Glynn

LAWRENCE - Catherine Rita (McIntyre) Glynn, 89, of 1525 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville, Md., died Monday at the Sisters of Bon Secours Retirement Home in Marriottsville.

Mrs. Glynn was born in Lowell and was a special education teacher in the Lawrence public schools for 20 years before she retired in 1975.

She was a member of the St. Claire League of Catholic Women in Lawrence and a longtime volunteer at the Bon Secours Hospital, now known as Holy Family Hospital, in Methuen.

The widow of Edward F. Glynn Sr., to whom she had been married for more than 50 years, she leaves her daughters Sister Nancy Glynn, C.B.S. of Richmond, Va., and Elaine M. Boni of Ft. Collins, Colo., a son Edward F. Jr. of Spring City, Pa., sister Mary Neilson of Madison, Conn., five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service in the Marriottsville Chapel at the Sisters of Bon Secours Retirement Home will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service in the chapel.

Friends are invited to committal services Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum Chapel, followed by burial in St. Mary-Immaculate Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Sisters of Bon Secours Retirement Fund, 1525 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville, Md. 21104.
